Autism for Life Foundation is one of my favourite partners and projects. They are an amazing resource for the autistic community in Calgary, and being able to help them extend their reach is an incredible privilege. My focus with them was obtaining a more refined image that utilizes poping colours and playful energy. I also wanted to utilize purples to complement their primary gold colour. They did not want to be presented as childish or unprofessional, and wanted to avoid imagery that would diminish autistic individuals and their contribution to the Calgary community. So approaching the marketing material design for them meant avoiding childish overused imagery and instead focused on a more sophisticated look. Focusing on empowerment for copy material and to create designs that are striking, energetic, and clean. For the graphic design portion, all my designs focused on colour and shapes to create energy and capture that refined perspective. For the copy material I would make with them, I focused on a voice that was out going, professional, yet modern.
My work with Autism for Life Foundation helped them increase their credibility and grow their platform and marketing capabilities, and I look forward to volunteering and working for them again.
